Bonjour my friends! Welcome to the first Spring series on Up to Date Interiors. Every day this week there will be a new craft to celebrate upcoming days full of sunshine, Spring showers, and blooming flowers.
First, I would like to announce the winners from last week’s competitions. The Craftsy photography class went to Tera Dellow and The Adam Quest book by Tim Stafford went to Dana Reed. Congratulations to Tera and Dana and thanks to all of you who participated!
We are starting out the week with a Butterfly Spring wreath. This is the first year that I created a wreath with something other than flowers and I love the way it turned out. Very woodlandish and super easy. 😉
Find a free printable of butterflies that you like. I found mine on What a Beautiful Mess and love the colors and variety of sizes. I printed out three sheets of butterflies on white card stock. (You can find the printout here.)
A grapevine wreath form.
Hot glue gun and glue sticks.
Cut out your butterflies and fold the wings together gently, then smooth out. Lay out the largest butterflies evenly around the wreath and glue (just a little dot) into place. Lay out medium butterflies, glue, and then fill in the rest with small butterflies.
A very fun and easy project to do while you are sitting on the couch watching your favorite show!
Have a wonderful Monday,
