Hello, hello!  I have so much to tell you.  First I want to show you a little Fall decor.  While I was adding into my decor velvet pumpkins, feathers, and different textiles I start rearranging too.   So here is Fall decor and a new living room arrangement!  And a water buffalo.  All of my big news is at the end!

Ever since we’ve moved in, I have wanted to reposition our two barrel/club chairs to the other side of the room.  I knew the balance and walkway would be better but we had to make sure the AC wall units didn’t leak.  They don’t.  So I finally switched the furniture around and I love it!   I added in my velvet pumpkins (you can find the tutorial HERE) and a few other items that felt like Fall to me.

The room feels bigger now and the piano isn’t crowded.   My fur rug went back on the piano bench for a cozier feel.

I also switched out some of my mediterranean blue pillows for a black and white pillow and throws.

Did I mention a water buffalo?  I’ve actually seen them here in Okinawa so when I spotted this little guy, I knew he would be a perfect Okinawan “souvenir” . This is just the beginning of  Fall decor.  I can’t wait to start Up to Date Interior’s Fall series next week!

  1. So excited for you Kathy, I know how hard you’ve been working on that ebook! I can’t wait to hear more information on it. And your house looks gorgeous! I love the small things you’ve added to make it feel more fall-like (although I especially appreciate that it isn’t all decked out in leaves and such yet since it certainly doesn’t FEEL like fall here). I recently rearranged a few rooms and it’s made such a difference, I think I’ll be keeping it like this until we leave! Again congrats on the ebook 🙂
